Joseph Siegenthaler

Joseph Siegenthaler is already well-known to the serious comic book aficionado as the creator/writer/penciler of the long-running "Todd Brown vs." series of comics. His further credits include "Thule Action Comics featuring Sac and Dave", "Sac vs. Mr. T." and the U.S. Cold War propaganda piece "A Bullet for Every Commie". Born in 1977 to Lutheran parents, he quickly gained a reputation as an artist, winning the 1988 Pan-Tidewater Prize for Artistic Commercialism for his bottle-cap sculpture of popular beer spokes-animal "Spuds" McKenzie.

This was the beginning of an intense relationship with beer which only deepened upon his matriculation at Virginia Tech in 1996. Graduation in 2000 and a tour during the 2003-2004 Iraq War have only served to increase his devotion to his alcoholic beverage of choice. Drifting into the comics field during the early '90's, his "Todd Brown vs." series was one of the few to escape the 1994 collapse of the comics market unscathed and, indeed, stronger than ever in terms of both sales and critical acclaim.

The series is no stranger to controversy, however, as the staunchly anti-communist Siegenthaler persists in staging battles between icons of the communist movement and his popular super-heroic character in its pages, years after the fall of the Soviet Union . These battles have invariably ended with such luminaries as Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong and Fidel Castro having their heads punched completely off of their bodies by Siegenthaler's plucky little stick-figure.

While Siegenthaler's critics charge that "Todd Brown vs." is the thinly veiled raving of an ignorant, half-mad, reactionary xenophobe, his many fans, friends and admirers are quick to leap to his defense, pointing out that the First Amendment protects even the most ignorant reactionary xenophobes. Whatever the outcome of the pending litigation, Cloven Hand Comics is proud to count comics legend Joseph Siegenthaler among its contributors.
Hey, wanna see something interesting... google image search "rust texture"... notice something? That's right! I'm a hack! The rust texture seen all througout this site is just a modified version of an image on THE FIRST PAGE of results for "rust texture" ...lol - I guess after that, no one will ever take me seriously again. But hey, the 3d models I used for the structure took so long, I didn't have time to go rust some metal and take photos!
